is there any info anywhere about trichotillomania having a connection to the limbic system?
also... does anyone suffer from a limbic type medical condition such as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or Fibromyalgia? Or any other random symptoms which could be connected to the limbic system in some way

just doing a little research

I know this was posted while ago, but I found your question interesting..

Although my Mom does NOT suffer from trichotillomania, she does have Fibromialgia... I dont know if that is the type of connection that you are looking for... But I thought I might point it out.

I thought I was probably best qualified to reply here, as I treat lots of trichsters on a daily basis and lots of us have relatives who have similar type disorders. I have a sister with MS and another with CFS.

I am treating one trichster with CFS at the moment and have treated lots with CFS or fibromyalgia in the past.

Howdy!

Like Lily, while my mum does not have trichotillomania, she does suffer terribly with fibromyalgia. I wonder if there is a connection.

There's no doubt in my mind that there is a connection.

Many trichsters (myself included) also have high levels of pain and fatigue.

hi... just read these stories and my mum has fibromyalgia as well! i find that so interesting to here other trichs mums have as well. Im also thinking her mum never had much hair but she was always buying lotions to make it grow ... she died 3 years ago so i cant ask her now but im wondering if maybe she had trichotillomania as well. I also get very tired... especially after a nite out with the girls and the next day i can be good for nothing just lying in bed all day while my friends are bombing about!

very interesting .....

pull free vibes!!! bird xxx
