HURL POWER   Let Us Inspire you

Working from home, I often get distracted; or should I say DRIVEN to distraction. Right now I'm looking out of my window, wondering should Missy Midriff, my teenage daughter, really BE playing skittles with the neighbour's twins? Okay, it SOUNDS harmless enough, except the tools for this particular tournament are just the toddler twins and a giant green ball. Midriff seems to have mistaken spittle for skittles. The poor teething tots have just got this walking lark sussed when balls come heartlessly hurtling toward their lively little legs.

So when DID my caring, sharing vegan daughter become a man-eater who doesn't even dump her boyfriend before she starts snogging his brother?

I've tried talking ETHICS to her. I've told her straight: Selfish is fine. Look after number one for sure, but remember that what goes around comes around. If you give people grief, You could soon be on the receiving end. How does Missy Midriff respond? 'The bad girl image is totally IN these days, Mother. Haven't you heard of GIRL POWER?'

Well yes I have actually, and I hear it sauntered in with the Spice Girls but who set THEM up as icons?

Throw together a group of pretty girls - more emaciated than emancipated - who wannabe famous, concoct a crappy zappy song, get the girlies to flaunt their faces and pout provocatively while jiggling the bits where their tits and ass should and WOULD be if they'd only take Claire Rayner's advice and 'have a proper meal' - then call it choreography.

Pour it in a pop bottle, shake and effervesce, and you get lots of lusting lads who are willing to part with their money for a fantasy ride. Take That without the pricks ... unless you include their fans, of course.

My message to my Midriff? Its great that girls are willing to take what they want ... but remember the fellas are flesh and blood and don't just think of the place all that blood rushes to when he sees your neat little navel.
